In all that we do the glory belongs to God. This is his ministry and we, merely workers in His field. We are humbled by the kind words of those we've had the honor of helping provide for the needs of their families.
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.

The Battle is Not Over Until You Win!
I’m writing to share the impact and power of your ministry, so that others may find assurance and patience. I have received a vehicle from A Mile In Their Shoes, summer 2024, after two long years of no vehicle. I would walk to work, just about 2 miles one way, in every type of Inland Northwest weather, every type of hour of day and night, and maintained my hope that a good car, a “new to me” car would come. I asked people I knew, I sought mechanical help for the dead car I did own, I applied for financing with my credit union and shopped. None of those approaches were fruitful.
Then tragically in June 2024 my home was burned by an arson and rendered a Total Loss. I no longer could live close to everything and every location for my multiple jobs. I not only had to move, but had ZERO way to guarantee my daily travel. But then I received a call, a most simple call that dropped me to my knees. “We have a vehicle for you, and once we receive the title it’s yours.” I knew better than to inundate a Gift with a million questions, but the suspense and surprise was baffling. What KIND of vehicle? Mine, as in mine? What strings are attached? This world holds many blessings and many cruelties, I walked in faith that I would be Blessed, not stressed; Freed, not chained; and as I stood in a parking lot waiting for the vehicle, I blurted out loud: “As long as it starts AND goes down the road, I don’t care if it’s a Geo Prism, I’ll make it work!” Instead I received a heartier, 4x4 car that fits my needs perfectly, and was gifted to me free and clear, as free and clear as the salvation from the blood of Christ.
Read my testimony and know; “God will bless you, God has put blessings in the works for you. Time is NO contender to God, only to us humans. Be patient AND DO NOT GIVE UP. Keep bussing, keep carpooling, keep walking, keep biking, keep reaching for the Purpose your soul drives you towards, and wheels will come. That endurance will be a testimony to your children, partner, and community.”
Thank you, thank you, thank you, A Mile In Their Shoes. Every one who can donate or be a resource, should. Our community desperately needs a helpful hand as you have made.
